Stolen

My heart is
A diamond covered in grime,
Lying innocently on the floor of this concrete jungle
Surrounded by strangers who stomp silently past...
Just longing to be noticed

Waiting patiently for someone to catch a glimpse
Of priceless hidden purity.
Waiting for someone whose eye will spot
The sparkle of this rare, unpolished gem
Through it's dirty exterior...

Only desire is to be stolen,
By a man who appreciates true worth.
Thief with an honest heart
PLEASE!
Steal me...
Before the drain's gaping mouth
Greedily consumes.
